About

Jason UlaszekHiya, Jason Ulaszek here. I thought I’d tell you a bit about me and what I’m doing here…

I’m a creative problem solver. I work for a superhero interactive design agency called manifest. I’m privileged to work with exceptionally talented individuals in creating comprehensive and engaging experiences for our clients. It’s a blast and energizes me each and every day.

During the more than 10 years of my professional experience, I have relied on my complex problem solving capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen to connect and establish successful client relationships. As an energizer and leader of client project teams at manifest, I push my clients and team to think broadly and differently and identify new business opportunities to improve the client’s brand awareness, customer satisfaction and loyalty. My ability to think and design strategically, yet jump into the finer design details, helps me lead conversations at any level on a project team. I enjoy teaching and mentoring other experience design specialists and helping businesses recognize the value of a user-centered design process. My passion for creating comprehensive, unmatched product experiences has been recognized by world-class thought leaders.

And yes, I do all those great user experience design things like – user research, requirements facilitation, conceptual and detailed design and prototyping among others.

Two quotes that drive me:

  • “Go big or go home.” (me)
  • “If what you did yesterday seems big, you haven’t done anything today.” (Lou Holtz)

Personal passions and outlets (in no particular order mom):

  • the intersection of technology and design
  • successful experience design stories and examples
  • creating opportunities for continued learning (teaching and mentoring)
  • living life’s experiences to the fullest with great family and friends
  • baseball (especially the Chicago Cubs)

Three things about me:

  1. I get goose bumps when excited and passionate about great ideas
  2. Sometimes I’m loud (I’m in the top 4 at manifest, but definitely middle of the pack or lower among my family – go figure!)
  3. I like to push others to believe in themselves and accomplishing the seemingly impossible

About this Blog

This blog captures my professional ideas, thoughts and opinions on the field of marketing and design, specifically experience design. It also captures a collection of personal moments that directly influence them. Together with my colleagues, friends and family and my readers, I’ll selfishly learn about myself and how I can impact not just my own life, but others around me. Please share your thoughts on anything and everything that you come across.

Have a vision. Believe in greater things. Design for positively impacting others lives, and you’ll have the most rewarding results imaginable.
